TURNS OUT GLOUCESTER IS THE PLACE TO BE ON JULY 3RD!!
Gloucester’s Independence Day celebration is held on July 3rd each year; based on previous years, festivities will include a parade at 6pm, a waterfront concert at 7pm, and a fireworks celebration at 9:30pm ~which will conveniently coincide with our wedding reception!
However, all good things come with a few challenges!! The parade will involve all streets surrounding The Beauport to close at around 5-5:30pm on July 3rd, and likely reopen sometime around 7pm. Parking will (of course!) be at a premium!
Our wedding ceremony will be at 5pm, and we’re planning on “welcome cocktails” at 4pm-ish to allow all of our guests to be at The Beauport with plenty of time before the roads close. The Beauport will have limited self-parking, as well as valet-parking available.
